Our Review
With USSSA's new scientific testing lab replacing the old NYU setup, DeMarini's once-dominant Zen advantage appears gone. Our field testing shows the 2020 Glitch CF Zen falling 3 to 5 MPH in exit speed compared to older Zens, which is huge in travel ball. The one upside: a cooler bat usually breaks less, so maybe DeMarini finally addressed the Zen's known durability problems.
Insider Note
Mike's sources inside the major bat makers say the new USSSA lab test is stricter, so all bats made after April 1, 2020 will run cooler than previous models.
Pros & Cons

Cons
- Exit velocity down 3 to 5 MPH versus 2019/2020 CF Zens
- Lost the dominant edge DeMarini once enjoyed under the old USSSA test
- CF Zen lineup remains notoriously fragile
